Genia Smith is president and owner of Accent Hardwood Flooring, Inc. founded by Ms. Smith in 1988. Ms. Smith has been in the hardwood flooring industry for over 30 years, working in all aspects of the industry, including installing, refinishing, repairing, and inspecting wood flooring.

About Us: 

Accent Hardwood Flooring was established in Durham, North Carolina in 1988 by Genia Smith. 
Ms. Smith is active in the International Association of Wood Flooring Professionals as well as the National Wood Flooring Association. Ms. Smith served on the Contractor's Board for the NWFA from 1997-2001. From 2001-2003, she served on the NWFA Convention Committee. She is currently the chairperson of the NWFA Hardwood Flooring Magazine Committee. She has led many round table discussions and served as facilitator for convention workshops. She is also active in the Home Builders Association, The National Association of Women Business Owners, and the Durham Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Smith was certified as a Wood Flooring Inspector by the National Wood Flooring Manufacturers Association, one of only 20 inspectors nationwide licensed by NOFMA. She is also certified by the NWFA (License # CPO104129). She is referred by both organizations for wood flooring inspections throughout the Southeast.
